Amber & Andy | Glenrock Engagement Shoot
Amber & Andy’s Glenrock Engagement Shoot - Newcastle
I first met these two when they moved in next door. However, it wasn't until they started planning their wedding and spoke to the coordinator for their venue that they realised one of the photographers they were looking at was their neighbour!
With my work popping up everywhere they looked; social media, magazines, venue & vendor recommendations; they thought it'd be worth organising a time to catch up and learn more. So that's what we did!
Skip forward to their Newcastle engagement shoot; they wanted somewhere with a nice mix of coastal and bush. So where better to go than Glenrock Reserve? Its easily accessible trails weave their way down the side of a cliff, starting quite elevated, with an excellent lookout boasting coast views and leading you past the lagoon and onto the beach. With one end quite rocky & the other just sand, it's texturally exceptional for photographs, especially when you use the gorgeous light leading into the sunset.
Amber and Andrew had great energy and bounced off each other so well throughout the shoot, sometimes literally bumping into each other as they playfully walked along the beach as the sun began to set. Engagement shoots are often a way for the couple to get to know me and vice versa, as well as the opportunity to get a little more comfortable in front of the camera.
Amber and Andrew were naturals in front of the camera, and capturing their engagement shoot was a breeze. When couples lean into the moment and their connection, forgetting some dude is lurking in the bushes pointing a camera at them, the photos we create are epic! These guys are so fun and have an awesome "roll with the punches" attitude; I can't wait to be a part of their big day!
