Lauren & Adam | Circa 1876 The Convent Wedding
Lauren & Adam’s Circa 1876 The Convent Wedding - Hunter Valley
Lauren & Adam's Circa 1876 The Convent wedding was held on an overcast day with showers that nearly forced us inside. However, the couple held out until the last second before making the final call to stick with the outdoor ceremony location, which paid off!
With Bride & Groom prep onsite at The Convent, it was super convenient to document this part of the day. Bride Lauren once in her wedding dress, met her Dad on the front balcony of The Convent for a first look. His face when he turned around & saw his daughter for the first time in her wedding dress was priceless.
The ceremony was held in the garden behind Circa 1876. With its gorgeous stone paths, lined on either side by trees, all surrounded by stunning greenery & view of the vines and the unique architecture of Circa 1876. Post-ceremony, we rounded the guests up for a large group photo, followed by family photos. Then, a wine & beer break for the bridal party was a given before making our way down the driveway of The Convent for some bridal portraits. Being a winter wedding, by the time we made it out for photos, the sun was already beginning to set, which meant the golden hues of the street lights that lined The Convent's driveway & the lights that were on inside the building gave a gorgeous glow to the photographs.
The wedding reception was in the restaurant, Circa 1876. A rather remarkable space with incredible styling, dimly lit & although a large room, feels quite intimate. Perfect for any couple wanting a wedding venue with a lot of charm. The evening saw some fantastic dishes served up, topped off with cake by Honeybelle Cakery, all while enjoying live music & many of the guests carving up the dancefloor.
It was such a beautiful wedding for a fantastic couple, who waited a long time for this day to come around, thanks to covid. So it was terrific to be able to document the day & feel like one of their friends while doing it! Honestly, they are such a great, genuine couple! Thanks for having me!
